Getting on with it…!

While the Formula Gulf technical team work hard to turn the cars around for the next event in a weeks time the young racers are back in their home countries. But by no means sitting around waiting for their career to come to them.

Last week Cato Poulsen (current series leader) was exhibiting his 2016 plans at the Danish Motorsport Show where 19,000 visitors had the opportunity to meet him and take a look at the Formula Renault 2.0 car that is one of the options for his 2016 summer campaign.  Cato shared his plans and spoke with sponsors who hope to help him reach his goal of an international motorsports carrier. However, new comer Gulhuseyn Abdullayev from Azerbaijan hopes to challenge Cato for the rest of the season. He has been working hard towards his successful selection of an Official Ambassador for the 2016 “Formula 1” Grand Prix of Europe, the Baku City Circuit. Gulhuseyn was very impressive at his first event last time out in Dubai and hopes to build on that on a weeks time.

Now in its 5th season many drivers have moved onto great success in all disciplines of global motorsport. Most recently last years Champ Tejas Hirani signed with a top Swedish Rally Cross team to compete in this season FIA RallyCross Lites championship. From season 3 young Malaysian racer Weiron Tan went onto compete in the USA in the Pro Mazda, following in the footsteps of early Formula Gulf adopter Ed Jones, who will compete this season again in Indy Lights. Other drivers have moved onto WRC, Formula Renault, Formula 3, Formula 4, Asia GT3 series and many more. Formula Gulf is really proving to be the only training ground globally to turn out well trained racing drivers, regardless of their route up the ladder, the important basic skills that are so important are learnt here.
